WHEN DAVID LOST HIS VOICE
JUDITH VANISTENDAEL
David has cancer – a devastating disease, not just for him but for his family as well. This story begins at the crossroads of life and death: not long after giving birth to her first child, Miriam learns her father has cancer. Tamar, David’s youngest daughter, is determined to find out what death means, and how you can preserve a soul. Paula can’t cope with the fact that her husband will abandon her. David himself would most of all like to go on one last sailing trip. Everyone reacts to David’s inevitable death in their own way.
In When David Lost his Voice, Judith Vanistendael looks for an answer to the question what it feels like when life lets you down. A story that gets under the skin.
